NCDA & CS in cooperation with NC State University, NC A&T University and USDA, operates 18 farms strategically placed throughout the state as sites for research to improve the quality and yields of crops in NC.  These research farms are excellent choices for farm tours for classes exposing students to cutting edge experiments in agriculture.
