Young Farmer and Rancher Events
North Carolina Farm Bureau's Young Farmer & Rancher State Committee had a busy Spring meeting in Franklin County. In addition to a planning session, young farmers from across the state toured a number of farming operations. The busy weekend included stops at Taylor's Nursery, a wholesale nursery serving the Mid-Atlantic; Cedar Creek Nursery, a family-owned retail nursery specializing in heirloom plants; Mitchell Farms, a tobacco and row crop operation; Southern Farm Tilapia, a fish operation raising Tilapia in fish barns; Jason Aycock Farm, a beef cattle operation; and Wester Farms, a tobacco, produce and row crop operation.
